About Me

With more than 27 years of experience in Human Resources—both as an internal HR leader and trusted consultant—I understand how workplaces function from the inside out.
I have supported union and non-union organizations across legal, healthcare, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, staffing, retail, financial services, real estate, and faith-based sectors. My additional 10 years of experience in IT gives me a unique understanding of how workplace systems, policies, and infrastructure intersect with
people.
I hold a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees, and my professional foundation is rooted in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). Throughout my career, I have worked to ensure policies are not just compliant—but fair, transparent, and human-centered.
My career has taken me across the United States, The Bahamas, and Trinidad and Tobago, and through several states including Washington, California, South Carolina, New York, Florida, and Georgia. These diverse environments have shaped my perspective on culture, leadership, and organizational power dynamics.
As an immigrant, a woman, and a person of color, I understand what it means to navigate systems that are not always built with everyone in mind. I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to every client interaction.
Through PeopleFirst Workplace Advocacy LLC, I help employees gain clarity, understand their options, and move forward with confidence and dignity.
Why I Started PeopleFirst Workplace Advocacy

After nearly three decades in HR, I saw a consistent pattern: employees often feel confused, overwhelmed, or silenced when workplace challenges arise.
Many don’t know:
- What their rights are
- How policies actually work
- How to prepare for difficult conversations
- When to escalate concerns
- Or how to advocate for themselves professionally
I created PeopleFirst Workplace Advocacy to bridge that gap.
I am not an attorney, and I do not provide legal advice. Instead, I provide strategic guidance, practical insight, and experienced perspective so employees can make informed decisions.
My mission is simple:
To help employees navigate work with confidence, clarity, and strength.
